Ministries

Worship

Seeing, hearing, and experiencing God’s amazing love and power first-hand demands a response—whether it’s one of joy, wonder, thanks, or quiet reflection. We love to respond in all of these ways during our worship times, and music is a powerful way to bring them together. Throughout the Bible, God puts a priority on music, even using it to drive out evil spirits (1 Samuel 16:14–23), speak through people (2 Kings 3:1–20), win battles (2 Chronicles 20:1–23), and break people out of prison (Acts 16:16–34)—God Himself even sings His love for us (Zephaniah 3:17–18)! God loves music, so we love to play and sing to Him.

Our weekly celebration is a casual, come as you are, interactive time of prayer and worship. We meet at the Promise Building every Sunday morning at 11:00am.

Kairos Kids & Youth Community

We believe God has big plans for children, not just when they grow up, but right now—today! Jesus put a priority on children, and we are excited to create ways for kids to come to Him and to experience His great love for them. Kairos is the Greek word used in Mark 1:15 to say that the time has come, that Jesus has brought God’s rule to earth. We use this word for our children’s ministry because with Jesus, the time has come when even children can hear and experience God and His kingdom!

Kairos Kids (age 5–5th grade) meets during the Sunday worship service. Children will spend time with Jesus and hear about all He says and does. They’ll also make friends and build relationships with their leaders and peers.

In the Nursery Ministry (ages 0–4), our little ones learn about God’s love through Bible stories, music, and age-appropriate activities. We provide snacks in both Kairos Kids and the nursery. New children must have a parent or guardian fill out an information form with allergy information.

Teen Talk (ages 6th – 12th grade) once or twice a month on Sunday mornings, teenagers meet in the café along with our youth leaders to discuss topics of interest from a social and theological perspective. Our youth community is an intimate group of teenagers and small in number. The intimate size of our youth community allows our youth leaders to create a protected space for our teens to engage in healthy conversations so they can grow in their faith.

Celebrate Recovery

Thursday nights, Meal: 6:30, meeting: 7:00-8:00

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered community where people find God’s healing and strength to overcome hurts, habits, and hang-ups.  Celebrate Recovery is not centered on a specific habit or problem—instead, we apply biblical principles of recovery to all of life’s difficulties and struggles. We are a community of people working our way along the road to recovery, sharing our life experiences, hopes and fears.  We believe people are defined by God’s love rather than addictions and we believe the power of God’s relentless love can deliver people from spiritual, emotional, and physical bondage. We affirm eight recovery principles based on the Beatitudes of Jesus and twelve steps of recovery based on biblical comparisons. Applying these principles leads to spiritual growth and freedom from addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors.  This new freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and a stronger relationship with God and with other people. You are invited to join our community and walk with us on the road to recovery.

Women’s Support Group

The Women’s Support Group meets on Thursday nights after the Celebrate Recovery program, 8:00 p.m. at the Promise Building (1800 Portland Ave.). In this group, women on the road to recovery offer support and accountability for one another. They study the Celebrate Recovery steps and other relatable subjects that support their recovery.
